Bloemfontein Celtic failed to hold on to a lead yet again yesterday, dropping points in their first Absa Premiership home game of the season. For a third consecutive match, Celtic squandered a lead and walked off the pitch with their heads hung in disappointment, after a strike by Sibusiso Msomi in the 50th minute earned visitors Platinum Stars a 1-1 draw at Free State Stadium.Celtic, who previously lost leads against Polokwane City and Kaizer Chiefs, opened the scoring 12 minutes before the break thanks to a goal from winger Lyle Lakay. The former Supersport United player cleverly slotted the ball home from a set piece to score only his third goal since joining Phunya Sele Sele in 2012 and his first in two years.A big concern for Stars coach Cavin Johnson will be the striking department, which has failed to threaten the opposition much. The former Supersport coach will also be hoping the team's form away from home improves. Last season they collected just 13 points and conceded 24 goals on the road in 15 matches.Stars host Golden Arrows at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday and Celtic welcome Orlando Pirates at Free State Stadium the same day. Both sides will go into their matches still seeking their first victories in the league.Newly promoted clubs Golden Arrows and Jomo Cosmos played to a 0-0 draw at Olen Park in Potchefstroom. ..
