At least four supporters of Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani were injured on Sunday when they clashed with Jammu and Kashmir Police in Srinagar.

The separatist leader, who was placed under house arrest on Sunday morning ahead of his seminar in Srinagar, had called an all-party convocation at his residence.
Geelani's house arrest comes at a crucial time after NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan were called off by MoFA when it refused to accept conditions laid down by Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Police resorted to mild lathicharge and used water canons to disperse the violent mob after they started pelting stones at security personnel.
Heavy security has been deployed outside Geelani's Hyderpora residence.

As uncertainty loomed large over Indo-Pak NSA talks, moderate Hurriyat Conference leader Bilal Lone and Shabir Shah were among four separatist leaders detained on Saturday at Delhi airport to prevent them from meeting Pakistan's NSA Sartaj Aziz in the event of his arrival here.
All the four separatist leaders were put under house arrest in the capital, official sources said.
