Lehenga choli clinches the deal for Ginnie

Ginnie Virdi is quite kicked about playing Emperor Akbar’s love interest Lajjo in the show, 'Hajir Jawab Birbal'.
Describing the character as 'glamorously cute', the actress, who is currently seen in 'Udaan', says, “I play a gardener’s daughter who catches the fancy of Akbar. She values dignity and doesn’t like how sure he is of winning her affection just because he is the Emperor.There are many masaaledar scenes and filmy twists.”

She says that the costumes were one of the factors that made her accept the offer.
“I’ve been wearing salwar-suits and saris in my other shows. But in this, I get to wear stylish lehenga cholis and flaunt my curves,” she laughs, adding, “Also, I’ve only been playing characters with grey shades so far. This gave me an opportunity to experiment with rom-com.”
