Police say they seized 70 pot plants and nearly 30 ounces of marijuana from a Hopkinton home.Police said they executed a search warrant for the home on Fruit Street last Friday. Watch video reportInvestigators said they discovered 58 mature marijuana plants in an outdoor cultivation area on the property and 12 young plants inside the home. The plants were seized, along with 30 ounces of marijuana that police said had been cultivated and nearly 9 ounces of marijuana that had been packaged for distribution.Authorities said the plants and marijuana had a street value of between $239,000 and $287,000. Police said the residents who were leasing the property, who were not identified, were facing possession and distribution charges.
