Ajay Devgn, who has been receiving positive responses for his latest film, Drishyam, is now all set for his forthcoming film Sons Of Sardaar. The film is a sequel of his 2012 release, Son of Sardaar. While the prequel had Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead, the makers are now keen on casting Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif for this installment.

According to Deccan Chronicle report, a source revealed that, "Ajay is understandably not wanting to speak about the casting of Son Of Sardar 2 just yet. If Deepika and Katrina are roped in, it'll be a casting coup of sorts. Getting Deepika or Katrina at this time in the same frame is a big deal and he wants to keep the news under wraps (if it works out) at the moment. He is currently neck-deep in work with the shooting of Shivaay, but will make a formal announcement regarding Son Of Sardar 2 very soon."

Both the female actors are busy with their projects as of now. While Deepika is busy shooting for Bajirao Mastani, Katrina is promoting her upcoming film Phantom. If either of the two are roped in for the role, it would be the first time that the Golmaal actor would share the screen space with Deepika or Katrina.

A few days back, Ajay took to Twitter to share that the film is based on the epic battle of Saragarhi. Sons Of Sardaar will be a great match for the Hollywood war film 300, said the 46-year-old actor.
