Debutant filmmaker Pia Sukanya’s comic caper Bombairiya, featuring Radhika Apte, Akshay Oberoi and Siddhanth Kapoor in lead roles, has been generating buzz since it went on floors. Freeheld, is now foraying into Bollywood with
Bombairiya.
Terming this new association ‘a major coup’, Michael says, “Our film is aimed primarily at India’s metro audiences. With more than 50 films under their belt, they bring an understanding of the mainstream as well as finance to the table. They can open doors for the film internationally and I also hope that some of the talent being showcased in our film will be given international opportunities.”
