Dubai-based production house comes aboard for 'Bombairiya'

Debutant filmmaker Pia Sukanya’s comic caper Bombairiya, featuring Radhika Apte, Akshay Oberoi and Siddhanth Kapoor in lead roles, has been generating buzz since it went on floors. The latest is that the film’s producer Michael Ward has tied up with the Dubai-based Kreo Films.

The international independent film company that is associated with movies like the Johnny Depp-starrer London Fields and Julianne Moore’s Freeheld, is now foraying into Bollywood with Bombairiya.
Terming this new association ‘a major coup’, Michael says, “Our film is aimed primarily at India’s metro audiences. With more than 50 films under their belt, they bring an understanding of the mainstream as well as finance to the table. They can open doors for the film internationally and I also hope that some of the talent being showcased in our film will be given international opportunities.”
