Report: Keke Palmer Returning to Music

Scream Queens' star all but confirms a new deal with Island Records.

Word is, one of Hollywood's favorite child-star successes is moving back into music.

Keke Palmer has a new single scheduled for fall via a new deal with Island Records, reports Page Six. The actress/singer, who currently stars in horror-comedy TV show Scream Queens, re-tweeted the news this week, however, has yet to say anything about it.

Perhaps it's her co-star Ariana Grande or her upcoming role in the silver-screen musical Grease Live that has her feeling the bug, but she's definitely hungry. She also tweeted a flick of her with Blacc Hollywood rapper Wiz Khalifa.

Palmer's last collection of songs came in 2012. The self-titled Keke Palmer was one of three mixtapes she released following her 2007 debut studio album, So Uncool. She's mostly been focused on building her thespian credits in movies like Brotherly Love, CrazySexCool: The TLC Story and the 2016 release Barbershop 3.

She's also worked out her vocal presentations with a gig doing voice-overs for Ice Age 5, and a Broadway run of Cinderella.

The starlet is set to kick off her new venture by hosting the label’s Island Life all-star concert at New York's Best Buy Theater in September.
