Dead baby dumped near beach

Durban - A two-month-old baby was found dead near a beach in Umhlanga.

Netcare Limited spokesperson Chris Botha said when paramedics were called to the scene on Friday afternoon, they found the baby had suffered extensive trauma.

Botha said the baby had died as the result of its injuries.

It was not yet clear how the injuries were caused.

Police were investigating, said Botha.
