Jason Tham: I often shock people with my fluent hindi

Jason Tham, Indian actor of Chinese origin, who featured in shows like 'Dil Dosti Dance' and 'Manmarziyan', is all set to play the tough guy Bikram in the TV show 'Agent Raghav'.
He fulfilled the makers' requirement for an actor who looked Oriental, spoke fluent Hindi and could pull off a stunt or two. “I have grown up watching Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee movies, which involve hardcore acrobatic fight scenes, guns and Matrix-like Parkour sequences.

Also, I have a personal trainer now for my workouts and have changed my diet as well to gain few kilos,“ he reveals.Jason feels that he's been stereotyped because of his looks. He says, “I am Chinese, but am often mistaken for North East Indian. I take it in my stride though, as people remember me for long.“
Despite the challenge, he has worked on improving certain things about him diligently , which includes polishing his Hindi. “People are often taken aback when I speak fluent Hindi. And it humours me to no end.
Whoever I meet for the first time, begins talking to me in English, but I make sure to reply in Hindi just to make them realise that they have the option of talking in other languages too,“ he says.
