Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif looked quite fabulous onscreen in the action flick Bang Bang which released in 2014. The film directed by Siddharth Anand is an official remake of the Hollywood hit Knight and Day, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. Now, we hear that a sequel to the Hindi film has been planned.

According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, the director is planning a sequel to the hit. But, those who thought they would get to see Hrithik and Katrina paired together yet again, are in for a disappointment because according to the report the duo has not been cast in Bang Bang 2.

From what we hear, Jacqueline Fernandez, who has recently become quite popular with A-list directors, might be roped in for part 2 and Sidharth Malhotra might step into the shoes of Hrithi for the sequel. The report also stated that although Hrithik Roshan was keen to be part of the film, his busy schedule has kept him away from the franchise.

The report quoted a source as saying that the sequel will be a high octane chase film like the first one and the stories of the main characters will be revealed through the story. The filmmaker is also reportedly looking for a compelling villain who will match up to Danny Denzongpa.

In 2014, after the success of the film Anand had said in an interview, "I think I have found my calling in action and there could be a sequel to Bang Bang, let's see."

Hrithik, it seems, opted out of the film last month as he is caught up with his next mega-epic with Ashutosh Gowariker. Mohenjo Daro will see Pooja Hegde pair up with Jr Roshan and is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation. Reportedly, it is being filmed mostly in South Africa after the completion of the schedule in Bhuj, Gujarat. The film is set to release in August, 2016.
