Divya Khosla Kumar participates in the Indian Independence Day celebration in America!

Filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar, who was felicitated for her debut film Yaariyan in San Francisco recently, had another proud moment in California. She participated in the Indian Independence Day parade organised in the city with lakhs of people in attendance. Divya not only attended this parade, but was also given the honour of hoisting the Indian flag !

Wearing a traditional outfit, the filmmaker said it was a really momentuous occasion for her.She added, “It was an extremely proud feeling to represent India and hoist our flag in a foreign land. The patriotic feeling among the Indians living abroad is so strong and it was an amazing feeling to be a part of them.”
