Rajnikumari Khatau shares an intimate look into the life and times of an authentic Indian princess. Her new book, "The Journey" (published by Partridge India) covers three major topics of the author's life - her royal upbringing, her life with a wealthy, industrial family and the insights she had over all these years - presented in the style of a coffee table book, laden with interesting photographs.

"The Journey" subtly weaves in all the glory of being royalty into the fabric of true spiritual actualization. It seeks to merge the past, present and future mirrored through the persona of people who come into the author's life to awaken her consciousness. Her own journey can be a useful source spiritual sustenance to the reader.

"The book has an appeal for varying audiences, such as those interested in the life of the royalties and their moral values; those interested in traditional and modern jewelry; wild life and those interested in spirituality and mindfulness," Khatau says.

The book details Khatau's journey "from being God to seeking God." She stresses how she found happiness not in her kind of upbringing or her marriage into a wealthy family but how she found happiness through God and her relationships. The author hopes that her journey can awaken readers to one reality - wealth cannot bring one's happiness.
