Dart suffers delays due to technical failure

DART and commuter trains are currently stopped at Malahide, Howth and Howth junction.

The DART is currently operating from Clongriffin to Greystones.

A spokesman for Irish Rail said that there was a point fault between Howth and Howth junction.

Dublin Bus are accepting Irish Rail tickets in the area.

The spokesman said that workers are addressing the problem but commuters could expect delays.

Trains had beenstopped at Malahide station this morning, also due to a point fault on the line.

Engineers managed to fix the problem but commuters can expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

Irish Rail apologised for the delays.
