SpiceJet to launch new flight service between Goa and Ahmedabad

New Delhi: Budget carrier SpiceJet on Monday announced to enhance its air connectivity on several trunk routes, including Delhi and Mumbai, and launch a new flight service between Goa and Ahmedabad in the coming winters.

As part of the winter schedule, airline has added a second flight to Ahmedabad from Mumbai as well as between Mumbai and Chennai, SpiceJet said in a statement. The winter schedules of the airlines in India comes into effect from last Sunday of October.

The airline has also increased flights between Delhi and Ahmedabad with a second service while on Delhi-Chennai-Delhi sector it plans to operate a third flight, it said. Besides, the Chennai-Madurai route would also have an additional flight in addition to the two flight being operated currently, the airline said, adding Mumbai and Goa frequency would also go up to three flights a day.

SpiceJet would fly twice a day on the Kochi-Hyderabad and Chennai-Coimbatore routes during the winter schedule, the release said. The airline has also increased flights between Delhi and Goa by adding a third flight on every Saturday, it added.

“We are happy to launch a large number of new flights today. With these flights, passengers have many more options to travel to Goa and on some of the frequently flown sectors. We will continue to add new flights in the days to come," SpiceJet senior vice president and head of sales and distribution Shilpa Bhatia said.

SpiceJet will deploy its Boeing 737-800s for all the additional flights to be operated during the winters, the release added.
