Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar on Monday issued the joint statement by India and UAE. He said that UAE will support India’s candidature for permanent membership of UN Security Council.

Counter-terrorism centred the talks in both countries. With the looming threat of Islamic State invading further into West Asia and the group marking India too as a threat recently  it has been perceived that the counter-terrorism will be a major issue in the bilateral talks. "The two nations also agreed on enhance cooperation in counter terrorism operations, intelligence sharing as well as cooperate on strengthening maritime security in Gulf and Indian Ocean region," he said.

"The two nations reject extremism and any link btw religion and terrorism. They condemn efforts including by states to use religion to justify support and sponsor terrorism against other countries," Jaishankar said. Both nations called on states to reject & abandon the use of terrorism against other countries, dismantle terrorism infrastructures here they exist and bring perpetrators of terrorism to justice

The two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in counter terrorism operations, intelligence sharing and will work together for adoption of India’s proposed comprehensive convention on international terrorism, Jaishankar said. Bothe nations agreed to shared infromation on terror finacning, increasing maritime security and strengthen defence relation. "They will control, regulate and share information on the flow of fund, cooperate on strengthening maritime security in Gulf and Indian Ocean region," read the joint statement. 

Both countries will cooperate in manufacture of defence equipment in India.

India and UAE called on all nations to fully respect and sincerely implement their commitment to resolve dispute bilaterally and peacefully without resorting to violence and terrorism

Regarding trade and investment, he said, "There was a recognition that india today is a new frontier of investment. It was agreed that they would set up UAE-India infrastructure investment fund with a target of $75 billion ."

Both nations also agreed to help each other during natural disasters ad conflicts. "The two nations will promote collaboration and Interoperability for humanitarian assistance in natural disaster and conflict situations," Jaishankar added.
