Om telecast for the first time on TV

Upendra's directorial masterpiece, Om, which stars Shivarajkumar, was telecast for the very first time on Udaya TV on Independence Day, giving people in Karnataka more reason to celebrate.
Several people from across the state stayed at home, glued to their TV sets, to watch the movie. What is interesting is that until last night, Om could only be watched when it was re-released in theatres.
