Congress cadres to observe fasts demanding implementation of prohibition in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Cadres of the Congress party will observe fasts in Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chennai districts on Friday seeking total prohibition in Tamil Nadu.
“Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) chief E V K S Elangovan said local party leaders would lead the fasts in the respective places in Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chennai districts,” said a statement issued by the TNCC.
Elangovan would address a public meeting near the Chepauk guest house in the evening, said the statement.
