Renowned Pakistani fashion designer Nida Azwer will add to the glamour at the Sunday Times Eastern Bridal Fair with her range of designer couture. The fair, which is in its 16th year, boasts world-class entertainment, fashion, décor and cuisine over three days from August 21 to 23 at the Durban Exhibition Centre.Event convenor Sudhir Pragjee described it as a social event for the entire family, not only those shopping for or planning a wedding."It's an important event on the social calendar. This is the first time that Nida will showcase her couture in Durban. The fair is a fantastic platform, particularly for local exhibitors and designers as they have an opportunity to showcase to the public," he said.A highlight will be the nine hour-long fashion shows and dance extravaganzas choreographed by Bollywood choreographer and dancer Shampa Sonthalia.She will be joined on stage by local dancers and international singing sensation Shruti Rane.There will be 130 stalls, a five-star restaurant, cooking demonstrations by Asha Maharaj and competitions.Each person will receive a goodie bag with a glossy magazine.EThekwini Municipality Speaker Logie Naidoo said the bridal fair is a great event in the city."It has grown.
