Die-hard fans of "Star Wars" and Star Trek" are racing to be the first to name craters discovered on the planet Pluto and its moon Charon by NASA's New Horizons Pluto Mission.
The International Astronomy Union unintentionally opened categories for public naming of the various craters and features.
A newly released map created by the New Horizons team shows Charon to have craters named after Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Captain Kirk, and Spock among others.
