Bengaluru: Former minister Nafees Fazal seems to be upset with the party for not consulting her over the selection of candidates for the BBMP polls for wards falling in the Pulikeshi Nagar assembly segment. Party sources said that she was not invited to the selection committee meeting too.
Ms Fazal confirmed that she was not invited and said that women leaders were not being given importance in such affairs. “The Pulikeshi Nagar assembly segment is represented by the JD(S). Since I am a former minister and a resident of this area, I should have been consulted on the selection of candidates,” she said.
