Celebrity Real Estate: Andy Roddick And More Athletes Selling Homes

This article is more than 8 years old.

Baby On Board, House For Sale

Tennis retiree Andy Roddick and his supermodel wife Brooklyn Decker are looking to ace the Los Angeles housing market. The handsome couple, who are expecting their first baby, have listed their gleaming modern masterpiece for $3.395 million.

The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home sprawls nearly 5,000 square feet and boasts big rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize views of Century City. A third-floor suite is accessed by an elevator.

Although spectacular, the home’s no match for Pete Sampras’ private estate that comes with its own rain forest. He and wife Bridgette Wilson purchased the Bel-Air home for $5.997 million.

Tennis great John McEnroe has a beautiful Malibu abode. His California ranch-style home cost $3.345 million and comes with deeded access to one of the area’s desirable beaches.

‘Unbroken’ Hero’s Home For Sale

A year after Louis Zamperini passed away, the Hollywood Hills home of the Olympic runner and former World War II prisoner of war has been listed for sale for just under $2 million. Zamperini’s life was the subject of the bestselling book “Unbroken,’’ which was also a movie directed by Angelina Jolie.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the 1922-era home is 3,445 square feet and is styled after an English cottage, though it sports some pretty L.A.-centric views. Apparently, Zamperini paneled the dining room walls himself.
