BJP captures Bavla municipality

BJP has come to power in Bavla municipality of Ahmedabad district. This has become possible after 4 Councillors of Congress and 2 independent Councillors – in total 6 Councillors joined BJP. In presence of district president Kamabhai Rathod and other district leaders, Congress Councillors Manubhai Bharwad, Bhushanbhai Chavla, Bhavnaben Thakkar, Bahratbhai Pagi and independent Councillors Ashokbhai Patel and Hiteshbhai Patel joined BJP with their over 500 supporters. BJP welcomed the new members to it district headquarters office. In 27-member body of Bavla municipality, BJP had 11 members. Now joined by Congress’s 4 and 2 independent Councillors, BJP has now achieved total strength of 17 Councillors and come to power.
