Maraba and Nyanya were immersed in flood following heavy rainfalls in the early hours of yesterday.

These suburbs of Abuja were basically cut out of accessibility after all road networks connecting them got flooded. A number of vehicles were trapped in the rising water level and commuters had to seek the assistance of residents before their vehicles were driven out

Commercial activities were temporarily brought to a grinding halt as banks within these suburbs had to succumb to the contingency. Nearby shops also had no option than to play host to passersby who were caught within the confines of the flood.
