Seven people were killed and 32 others were injured in a road accident on Sunday. A Recue 1122 spokesman said more than 40 passengers were travelling on a private coach when it swerved off the road near Qambar Bridge at 2 am.

He said four children (Abu Huraira, Hudaibia, Abdul Basit and Shama) and three men (Ahmad Din, Muhammad Bashir and Nasir Khan) had died on the spot.

He said 32 people were injured. He said most passengers were from Torkham, Bunair and Karak. He said Rescue 1122 teams took the injured to Taunsa Hospital and the DHQ trauma centre. Doctors at the hospitals said three people were in a critical condition.

Taunsa police have registered an FIR against Ajab Gull, the bus driver, on the complaint of one Fakhari-i-Alam. Police said Gull had fled from the scene after the accident. They said the coach had been confiscated and a team had been formed to find and arrest the suspect.
