Philipp Kohlschreiber recovered from a poor start to beat French veteran Paul-Henri Mathieu and capture the Generali Open title in Kitzbuhel.
The German - who lives nearby and cycled to the venue each day - dropped the first set before coming back to triumph 2-6 6-2 6-2 and claim the fifth ATP Tour title of his career.
It meant Kohlschreiber went one better than his performance in the same tournament three years ago when he finished runner-up to Dutchman Robin Haase.
The 31-year-old struggled initially against qualifier Mathieu, who broke his opponent twice to win the first set in just 31 minutes.
But Kohlschreiber grew in confidence against the fading Mathieu - appearing in his first final since 2009 - and wrapped up an ultimately convincing win.
Kohlscreiber told atptour.com: "I got off to a bad start, but managed to come back into the match and play well during the big points.
"I'm very happy that I won the tournament - it doesn't happen too often in a career. I spend a lot of time here in Kitzbuhel, I know the people and everybody is very friendly."
