The accident occurred when an ambulance collided with three bikes.

The deceased include two pilgrims who were returning to Faridkot from Chintpurni and the ambulance driver.

Three of the injured — in a critical situation — were referred to hospitals in Ludhiana and Jalandhar.

Sabi, his wife and the other woman were admitted to a private hospital in Adampur. Sabi was being further referred to Jalandhar.
