Seeking divine blessings ahead of a film's release has forever been a common norm among Bollywood stars. Ajmer, in particular, has been a chosen stop for many a star in the past. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte were at the Dargah of sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer recently to pray for the success of their upcoming film, Ketan Mehta's Manjhi: The Mountain Man.

The two actors were seen offering the customary chaddar and flowers to the Khwaja at his shrine. Although Nawaz and Radhika kept a low profile at the shrine, their presence naturally created a flutter of sorts.

Ajmer has been a popular haunt for believers among our Bollywood lot. Katrina Kaif, in fact, has been known to visit the shrine once before every release over the years. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu, and Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been among several other stars who have dropped by at the shrine for blessings in recent times.

Among countless stars who have been spotted seeking blessings of the Khawaja in the past are Lata Mangeshkar, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Mamta Kulkarni, Sanjay Khan and the late Sunil Dutt.

Manjhi: The Mountain Man is Nawazuddin's solo starrer after a long time. His recent release Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan saw him essay a strong character role of a Pakistani journalist. In Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Nawazuddin will be seen playing Dashrath Manjhi, who cut through a mountain over 22 years all by himself using a hammer and a chisel to create a road, after his wife (played by Radhika Apte) died because medical help could not reach his village from the town on time. The film is slated to release worldwide on August 21.
