New Zealand, who lost the 1st one-day international against Zimbabwe on Sunday, thrashed the hosts to level the three-match series 1-1. Opening batsman Martin Guptill brought up the second century of the day when chasing a target of 236 set by Zimbabwe. Live Scorecard

Tom Latham who had replaced Brendon McCullum in the ODI squad made his selection count by scoring a run-a-ball century.

Openers Latham and Guptill, who were involved in an unbeaten 200-run-partnership, ruined Zimbabwe's dreams of a famous series win on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Guptill became the fastest New Zealand player to reach 4000 ODI runs, edging Nathan Astle by 8 innings.

Earlier, Zimbabwe were struggling with the bat at 68 for 5 before Sikandar Raza scored an unbeaten century to lift the hosts to a commendable total of 235.

Raza's third ODI century saved Zimbabwe's innings in this game after the home team opted to bat first. His late-innings hitting included five fours and four sixes.

Legspinner Ish Sodhi took 3-38 for New Zealand in his second ODI.
