Baahubali box office collections cross Rs 500 crore

If reports are to beleived, 'Baahubali' has become the highest profit making South Indian movie, breaking records of Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Enthiran which earned Rs 283 crore.

It seems there is no stopping for SS Rajamouli-directed period film 'Baahubali' as the movie continues to break records one after another.

After creating history by becoming the fastest Indian cinema to enter Rs 100-crore club, the South Indian blockbuster made another record on Monday when it crossed Rs 500 crore-mark in gross collections at the worldwide box office after its fourth weekend.

If reports are to beleived, 'Baahubali' has become the highest profit making South Indian movie, breaking records of Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Enthiran which earned Rs 283 crore.

Said to be made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, the film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia in the lead roles. It's about the war between two brothers for an ancient kingdom.

Released on July 10 in four languages-Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi-simultaneously, the film has performed extremely well in all the languages.

Another movie that has created storm at the box office is Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood flick Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Released on July 17, the film is close to touch Rs 300 crore-mark. According to the trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, the film has grossed Rs 294.98 crore till now.
