BHARUCH: The Ankleshwar GIDC police have detected a case of net banking fraud and arrested a 19-year-old youth from West Bengal for his alleged involvement.
The cyber cell nabbed Sahil Kumar Singh from Burdwan district in WB and brought him to Ankleshwar on Monday.
Singh had allegedly transferred Rs 1.90 lakh from the account of an Ankleshwar resident, Sunil Kapadia, last month. P L Chaudhary, police inspector, Ankleshwar police station, said that Singh had called up Kapadia saying that he was a representative of a private bank and got his confidential details including the net banking password.
He used a wallet application in his smart phone and transferred the money to his account.

Police traced Singh's location from his call detail records.
