Fake admission students identified

August 04, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 01:00 pm IST - New Delhi:

Two students who made it to Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College and Hindu College using fraudulent means have been identified.

Investigators said the crime branch, which is probing the case of fake admissions, will soon serve notices to these students to join the probe. Given the nature of their crime, their arrest is not ruled out either, said the officer.

The accused students are natives of Mohali and Delhi respectively and were pursuing BCom courses.

The police visited these colleges on Monday along with Sunil, the kingpin of the racket. The five-member team spoke to some staff members and seized admission documents of the two students.

The police later visited Aurobindo College, Dayal Singh College and DAV College to collect data on the issue of suspected admissions.
