Specialised shoes for National Netball Team sponsored by Macbertan

Macbertan Ltd., manufacturer of McFoil Roof Insulation, recently gifted Asics gel – Super 5 Women’s specialised netball shoes and McFoil branded sports bags to the National Netball Team.

Macbertan is an Associate company of McLarens Holdings Ltd. The shoes and bags were handed to the members of the team by McLarens Group Director Dinesh Jayawardana, Macbertan Managing Director Ramani Ponnambalam and Sports Development Department Director General K.D.S. Ruwanchandra.

The ceremony was held at the Sports Ministry on 23 July and the audience comprised of both invitees and members of media.  

At the ceremony, Deepthi Alwis, the National Net Ball Coach, thanked the Chairman of the McLarens Group, Rohan De Silva, for arranging to air freight the shoes before the team left to Sydney to participate in the world Netball Championship in Sydney. The championship commences on 7 August and the new footwear will be greatly helpful to their play.

The shoes were imported from Singapore through United Sports Colombo.

As conveyed at the presentation by Dinesh Jayawardana, McLarens together with Macbertan and McFoil are proud to be associated with assisting yet another national sports team.
