Riyadh-Mubasher: Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closed Monday with a modest gain of 13 points after losing nearly 60 points during the session.

The benchmark closed above its support level of 8,800 points, and is likely to re-test the 9,000 level.

Turnover declined from SAR 5 billion on Sunday to more than SAR 4.6 billion, nearly 10% of which was dominated by Mobily. Trading volume exceeded 190.4 million shares, which changed hands in more than 93,800 transactions.

Gainers outperformed losers 100 to 46. Saudi Cable led the way in gains, rocketing 9.86% to SAR 9.25, its highest in one and a half months. Al Alamiya and Al Khlaeej Training also rose 4.5% and 4.2%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Medgulf was the biggest faller, plummeting 9.77% to SAR 35.10. Mobily also dived 7.7% in the first day of resuming trading. The operator was actively traded, as 15 million of its shares changed hands at a turnover of more than SAR 476.7 million.

At the sectoral level, five headed south, led by the transport which dropped 3.06%. On the positive side, 10 sectors headed north, spearheaded by the energy which climbed 2.10%.
