Glittering lehengas, sheer saris and cocktail gowns made Amazon India Couture Week 2015 a visual feast. But what made the event even more exciting were some of Bollywood faves spotted as showstoppers on the runway.
For Gaurav Gupta, Kalki Koechlin was an obvoius choice. This wasn't the first time the actor walked the runway for Gupta, who told Vogue after his show that working with a friend was so fun, it was like not working at all.
Monisha Jaising chose not one but two stars for her show: While Pernia Qureshi opened the show in a baby blue gown, Kriti Sanon ended the showcase in a lehenga paired with a sporty top for a 'Rebel Bride' look. Another show to boast two showstoppers was Debarun's, which started with Aditi Rao Hydari in a cocktail lehenga and closed with Chitrangada Singh in bridal finery.
Showing off unbelievable curves (surely honed by years of yoga), Shilpa Shetty said she loved the gold lehenga she wore for Rimple & Harpreet Narula. Another star to go traditional on the runway was Richa Chadda who walked for Reynu Taandon.
But the best was saved for the last. On the final day Manav Gangwani had Kangana Ranaut in a bejewelled number and then there was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who brought couture week to a close for Manish Malhotra.
