Krazy Kutumb, Comedy Factory, Rangtarang match steps as happy NRGs go home jiving to the beats of Raas-Garba

New Jersey / Ahmedabad, August 3, 2015: Ounces of fun, happiness as well as self-introspection on matters of rich gujarati cultural legacy, religion and life took flight with words of enlightenment and blessing those present at the biennial event organized by the Association of Indian Americans of North America (AIANA), celebrating the exuberance of India’s westernmost state of Gujarat in all it’s splendor, bringing the smell and essence of the state to non-resident Gujaratis, came to a grand finale in true style in NJ Expo Centre in New Jersey, USA, on Sunday .

Action packed the venue right from the morning , well into the wee hours of the night. Bhakti sangeet Music is what feelings sound like and Gujarat’s own Shyamal, Saumil and aart Munshi flaunted the rhythm and rhyme poser.Next was Krazy Kutumb’s turn again to make the house roll in laughter. And Archan Trivedi and his family ensured that happened through their comedy skit. Well, fun did not stop there and more was in store.

Rangtarang then joined hands with Archan Trivedi to multiply the dose of giggles that ringed in unison in a free-flowing Anand Tarang. A massive eruption hit the venue, albeit of a different kind. This was one of intellect and in-depth knowledge as two widely recognized intellectuals—Jay Vasavda and Kajal Oza-Vaidya—matching experience with well-known poet Tushar Shukla in an enriching talkshow. Comedy Factory then took over to bring comedy back to the station to end the event on a rollicking note.

The contribution of Gujarati’s to Bollywood was remembered by none other than famous gujju film maker Sanjay Chhel revealing a dossier of lesser known facts accompanied with stunning visuals and music. Long-time acquaintances of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhvi Bhuta delved into lesser known facts about the leader who hails from the state. Atra-Tatra-Sarvatra, the guiding force behind Chaalo Gujarat was next dissected in an enthralling performance.

What best way to end an event of such magnitude than with Raas-Garba? And so it was. after all for everyone present , it was the beginning of a wait, two years to be precise, to be back into the groove and fervour of Chaalo Gujarat. Foot tapping cultural dominance prevailed with Arvind Vegda, Aditya Gadhvi, Osman Mir, Shyamal-Saumil, Mirande and Aalap Desai gifting the audience the perfect wrap-up that will leave a lasting trail of warm remembrance of Chaalo Gujarat 2015. AIANA president Sunil Nayak introduced his team behind such a magnificent show and thanked eveyone for the success of the programme.
