Independent panel sought to assess OGH stability

The Telangana Jana Samiti State president and senior cardiologist M.F. Gopinath has demanded that the State government constitute an independent panel headed by a retired judge consisting of engineering experts to assess the structural stability of the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) building in Hyderabad.

In a statement, Dr. Gopinath said the OGH building was constructed under the supervision of renowned architect Vincent several decades ago. It has carved out a niche for itself in health care services. The government should think from the poor patients’ perspective, he said.
