TV tonight: 'Scorpion,' 'Significant Mother'

Robert Bianco
USA TODAY

Jessica Tuck and Robert Patrick play exes on 'Scorpion.'

Scorpion

CBS, 9 ET/PT

Most episodes of Scorpion focus on Walter and his team of badly socialized geniuses. Tonight's repeat, however, shifts the focus to their government handler, Cabe, which is great news for anyone who wants to learn more about that character, or who simply loves Robert Patrick. And as a bonus, you also get to meet Cabe's ex-wife (Jessica Tuck), who provides a few insights into Cabe's marital past. It's not all nostalgic fun and games, however: The team is also scrambling to protect her after she discovers evidence that proves a congressman was murdered.

Significant Mother

CW, 9:30 ET/PT

This CW summer comedy may be more interesting for its past than its present: It was developed as a digital series before being moved over to the broadcast network. Josh Zuckerman stars as a Portland restaurant owner who discovers his mother in bed with his roommate. The title of the episode is Welcome to Bonetown, which pretty much tells you what you're in for should you elect to stay.

UnReal

Lifetime, 10 ET/PT

We've reached the finale of this Bachelor-ish satire, a show mocked and attacked by Bachelor host Chris Harrison. Which is reason enough to watch and support it.
