An elderly couple was killed when a sports-utility vehicle hit the two-wheeler in which they were travelling near Natanahalli in K.R. Pet taluk on Sunday afternoon.
While retired teacher Devegowda (67) died on the spot, his wife Gowramma (60) died in a private hospital in Mysuru.
The couple, residents of Hariharapura in K.R. Pet, were going to Heraganahalli when the accident occurred on Bookanakere-Hariharapura main road, police said.
Driver flees
The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. A case has been registered.
