Harsh Kumar Singh, elder brother of Sara, in whose murder case her husband Amanmani Tripathi — son of jailed former UP minister Amarmani Tripathi — and his family members have been booked, was allegedly attacked by unidentified men at Janakpuri in Delhi on Saturday evening.
Sara’s mother Seema Singh said Harsh (32) was going to the market on Saturday evening when 8 to 10 unidentified miscreants attacked him from behind. Following intervention of locals, the assailants fled from the spot. Harsh sustained minor injuries in the attack.

Seema, who has filed a complaint in this connection at the Gomti Nagar police station in Lucknow, claimed Harsh has got an FIR lodged in this connection with the Delhi Police.
On July 9, Sara had died when the car she was travelling in with Amanmani met with an accident on National Highway-2 in Firozabad district. Amanmani, who miraculously escaped unhurt, was subsequently arrested as he was absconding in a kidnapping case lodged against him in August last year.
Seema has alleged that Sara was killed at the behest of Amarmani — who, along with his wife Madhumati, is serving life sentence in poet Madhumita Shukla’s murder case. The UP government has recommended a CBI probe in Sara’s murder.
“The attack (on Harsh) is the fallout of the FIR I lodged against Amanmani and others. Harsh lives in Delhi’s Janakpuri area. He told me the assailants had taken the name of Manoj Goenka, a resident of Firozabad,” she said.
When contacted, Station Officer of Gomti Nagar police station, Syed Mohammad Abbas, said: “We have come to know that an FIR in this connection has been registered in Delhi. We will sent the complaint lodged by Seema Singh to the Delhi Police so that it can be included in its investigation.”
