Teenager abducted and gang-raped in Rewa district, 3 jailed

A government teacher along with two friends allegedly abducted a student of class 10 and gang-raped her in captivity at Khauja village under Panwar police station of Rewa district on July 31.

BHOPAL: A government teacher along with two friends allegedly abducted a student of class 10 and gang-raped her in captivity at Khauja village under Panwar police station of Rewa district on July 31. All three were produced before a court on Sunday.
Accused Chandrakar Tiwari, 35, a government teacher along with Dudhnath Pandey, 30, and Suresh Pandey, 35, all residents of same village abducted the 16-year-old girl, police said.

"In the past, the trio tried to give the survivor a mobile set. When the survivor's father learned about it, he had a minor row with them and also ticked off the teenager. On July 31 night, the accused were lying in wait outside her home and when she came out of the house to attend nature's call, they kidnapped her," Panwar police station in charge Arun Singh Baghel told TOI.
"The trio lives n the same area as the survivor. They allegedly took her to a deserted place where Dudhnath and Chandrakar allegedly gang-raped her. Before Suresh could reach the spot, the girl's father woke up and began looking for her. When the accused got hang of girl's father looking for her, they kept the girl in captivity in Suresh's house."
In the meantime, villagers also joined girl's father in searching her, they informed police, but by the time police reached the spot, they had found the survivor in Suresh's house, the police officer said.
"After the arrest, three were produced in the court and sent to jail on Sunday," he said.
