ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Fire officials say they are looking for information about who might have set fire to an elementary school playground.

KTUU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1IDIVTS ) that the playground at Alpenglow Elementary School in Eagle River caught fire Saturday morning.

Anchorage Fire Department spokesman John See says the fire appeared to be intentionally set.

He says firefighters found a portion of the playground burning after they were called to the school around 8:30 a.m.

See says playground equipment was significantly damaged but the fire was quickly put out and no one was injured.

Anchorage School District Spokeswoman Heidi Embley says about a third of the playground structure was melted to the ground, including a slide and a stairway.
