Robbie Keane's LA Galaxy got the better of Kevin Doyle's Colorado Rapids, with the Republic of Ireland international grabbing a goal courtesy of a Steven Gerrard assist.
Three unanswered goals in the second half from Sebastian Lletget, Alan Gordon and Robbie Keane inspired the Galaxy – third in the Western Conference.
The Dubliner's goal was a testament to his work ethic, chasing down the final defender who was caught out high up the pitch. Keane raced through, waiting for support, which arrived in the galloping form of former Liverpool team-mate Gerrard.
Keane waited for the return ball, which despite being mishit by Gerrard, was finished to the net.
