The cavalcade of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Bukhari came under attack in Pattan town of Baramulla district on Saturday.As the cavalcade of the Minister passed through the town some miscreants threw stones at it in which one of the PSOs and two drivers were injured and window-panes of three escort vehicles were also broken.Eye-witnesses said as the cavalcade of the Minister was on way to Baramulla for IAY cheque distribution function in Baramulla, it came under attack near Degree College Pattan, Pandora Park and main market."Two PSOs and two drivers were injured in the incident. We had already informed police about the Minister’s visit to the area. Police should have informed about the situation in the area," spokesman of the Minister informed.SDPO Pattan said there was no such incident and the situation was peaceful while SSP Baramulla told that it was a “minor incident” of stone pelting and no one was injured."There was a strike call in Pattan yesterday. It was a minor incident of stone pelting in which a stone hit one of the vehicles.However, no one was injured in the incident," the SSP said.
