(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of Mauritania on Wednesday received a message from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on enhancing relations between the two countries and opening of an Omani Embassy in Mauritania in the coming weeks.
The message was delivered by H E Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs when the Mauritanian President received him at the presidential palace in Nouakchott.
During the meeting H E Alawi conveyed greetings of His Majesty the Sultan to President Aziz along with best wishes of good health and happiness to him and the Mauritanian people further progress.
The Mauritanian President asked H E Alawi to convey his greetings and best wishes of good health and happiness to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress and prosperity. The meeting reviewed the current political situation in the Arab world.
Also Yahya Ould Hademine Prime Minister of Mauritania received H E Alawi in his office.
The meeting discussed relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them in various areas.
Earlier H E Alawi met Fatma Vall bint Soueinae Mauritania's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
