Ragapriya music festival begins from tomorrow

The 46{+t}{+h}anniversary of Ragapriya music festival begins in the city from Monday (August 3).

The seven-day long festival, to be held in Fortune Pandyan Hotel, will have noted artistes staging performance daily from 6 p.m.

On the first day, Ramakrishnamoorthy vocalist would be accompanied by Rajeev, Sumesh Narayanan and Chandrasekar Sharma. Noted vocalist Sanjay Subramanian would present a concert on Tuesday with S. Varadarajan and Neyveli Venkatesh.

On the third day, vocalist Mahati, who is also a famous playback singer is expected to present a concert with H.N. Basker, Patri Satishkumar and Anirudh Athreya.

On Thursday, a flute concert would be staged by J.A. Jayanth with V. Sanjeev, S. Venkatramanan and R. Sivaraman on stage. On Friday, vocalist Nithyashree Mahadevan would be on stage with M.A. Krishnaswamy, I. Sivakumar and K. Sivaramakrishnan as her accompaniments.

On Saturday, musician Gayathri Venkatragavan would be accompanied by Charumathi Raguram, J. Vaidyanathan and Alathur Rajaganesh.

On the last day of the festival, Ravikumar and Sriram — Malladi Brothers — would be accompanied by Embar Kannan, Palladam Ravi and Alathur Rajaganesh, according to the organisers.
