Lok Satta Party will organise a roundtable on “Kalam’s vision of India – political, administrative reforms’ here on August 3 to mark the 18{+t}{+h}anniversary of Lok Satta movement.
The roundtable will be organised under the aegis of party founder Jayaprakash Narayan at Fapcci Hall in Red Hills here from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Experts from various fields, representatives of civil society, NGOs and media organisations will participate in the roundtable and adopt resolutions on the reforms to be brought in to fill the gap between the political and administrative systems to realise the dreams of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for a new India.
Lok Satta movement was launched by Jayaprakash Narayan on August 3 in 1997 with the objective of addressing preventable hardships, equal opportunities to all to enable every child realise his/her potential, replacing bandhs, rasta rokos and protests against the government by asserting Constitutional, legal and citizenship rights bestowed on the citizens by the independent India, according to a release.
