In a joint operation, Childline India Foundation’s NGO partner HELP and city police rescued a 4-year-old boy who was subjected to torture by her mother, here on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off from the neighbours, the boy, Sk. Farhan was rescued, HELP social activist B. V. Sagar said. The neighbours complained that the woman had been torturing her son ever since she had parted ways with her husband. One Town police registered a case against the woman under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
