Youth murdered in Akola

Akola: A youth was brutally murdered and another seriously injured in an assault by miscreants on Gadanki Road in Guljarpura locality of the old city here late on Friday night, the police said.
The deceased youth was identified as Manoj Dhumne (24) and injured Jai Wadekar (30) was shifted to a hospital at Nagpur.
The motive behind the fatal assault is stated to be a love affair between the youth and a girl who belonged to different religious communities, the police said.
The deceased and the injured were stabbed by swords and soon after the incident, the youths in the area pelted stones and damaged vehicles.
Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. More cops have been deployed in the area to avert any untoward incident.
