Eurosport to broadcast Vuelta a Espana until 2020

The renewal of the deal was announced via press release. It read:

“Eurosport has extended its long-term partnership with the Vuelta a España, the third and last Grand Tour of the cycling season.

“The deal, which was renewed through the EBU following a tender process, covers TV and digital rights until 2020 in all European territories.

The agreement includes complete exclusive coverage in key markets such as France, Germany, Italy and Poland as well as live coverage exclusivity in the UK.

In 2014, 100 million European viewers* enjoyed Eurosport’s unrivalled cycling coverage and in 2015, we will see over 40 events bring in excess of 1,800 hours of broadcast coverage.”
