Congress corporator Purushottam Hazare was externed for two years from city and rural district last week by an order issued by police commissioner SP Yadav. Hazare was handed over to his relative in Bhandara district by police, urging him to stay away from city.

Nagpur: Congress corporator Purushottam Hazare was externed for two years from city and rural district last week by an order issued by police commissioner SP Yadav. Hazare was handed over to his relative in Bhandara district by police, urging him to stay away from city.
Hazare has several cases of assault and other charges against him at Kalamna police station. The preventive action was initiated against him to ensure that anti-social activities were kept under control.
Police have also slapped stringent Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA) on Ajni-based criminal Bunty Thaware. He was earlier externed for two years from city. Police had initiated preventive action but he continued with criminal activities.
Rural police busts gang having 38 offences Rural police’s local crime branch (LCB) has arrested five persons of an interstate gang involved in 38 offences in different districts of eastern Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh. The gang members, who have been remanded to police custody till Sunday, confessed to committing several property related offences, including burglaries at shops and thefts of vehicles. The squad nabbed the gang after being informed about its intention to rob a petrol pump. After being intercepted during chase on Khaparkheda-Kamptee road, the goons admitted their plan. Police have recovered sharp weapons and other gadgets used for burglaries. A four-wheeler, stolen from PWD office at Bhandara, has been also recovered from them. Cops have recovered valuables worth Rs12.40 lakh from the five accused.
Two houses burgled In separate incidents, burglars struck two houses in daylight on Friday. In the first incident, thieves decamped with cash 15,000 and gold ornaments worth 76,500 from Mukund Waikars home at Prem Nagar in Koradi’s residence. In second case, burglars stole cash and valuables worth 2.08 lakh from Murlidas Kungwani’s residence in Hudco Colony.
Two women robbed Tricksters, introducing themselves as police, robbed two women of their valuables in separate incidents on Saturday morning. In the first incident, Gauri Mahajan, 65, of Ayodhya Nagar, was robbed on Hill at Road around 10am. In another incident, shop owner Meena Mule was robbed of gold ornaments worth 1.25 lakh from her shop in Swawlambi Nagar.
